It remained in service throughout the rest of the Second World War and later took part in the Korean War.

Tupolev Tu-2The Soviet State Industries began producing the Tupolev Tu-2 for the Red Army Air Force in 1942. This medium bomber had a maximum speed of 342 mph and had a range of 1,243 miles. It was 45 ft 3 inches long with a wingspan of 61 ft 10 in. The aircraft was armed with two 20 mm cannon, three machine-guns and carried 6,614 pounds of bombs.
